What is Compare Wise?

Compare Wise is a Shopify app that lets you create and manage product comparison tables directly from your Shopify admin panel. You can build feature-rich comparison tables — all without writing any code.

How do I install Compare Wise?

Visit the Compare Wise page on the Shopify App Store and click "Add app." The installation takes just a few clicks. Compare Wise installs as a theme extension, so your theme files are never modified.

Do I need coding knowledge to use Compare Wise?

No. Compare Wise is designed for merchants of all technical levels. The entire app runs through a visual dashboard — create tables, customize designs, and publish with point-and-click controls.

Will Compare Wise work with my current Shopify theme?

Yes. Compare Wise uses Shopify's theme extension system, which is compatible with all Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes. It also works with many older themes. If you encounter compatibility issues, our support team can help.

What types of comparison tables can I create?

Compare Wise supports flexible comparison table configurations:

How many products can I include in a comparison table?

This depends on your plan. Free plan users can include up to 5 products per table, Pro plan users can include up to 20, and Enterprise plan users have unlimited products per table.

Can I highlight specific features or products?

Yes. Pro and Enterprise plans include feature highlighting, allowing you to draw attention to specific rows or columns in your comparison tables.

Design & Customization

Can I customize the look of my comparison tables?

Absolutely. Compare Wise includes pre-built design themes you can apply in one click, or you can customize every detail: colors, fonts, spacing, column widths, and more. Every table can match your brand identity.

Does Compare Wise support responsive design?

Yes. All comparison tables created with Compare Wise are fully responsive and automatically adjust to look great on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Can I preview my tables before publishing?

Yes. Compare Wise provides a live preview feature that shows you exactly how your comparison table will appear on your storefront. You can preview on different screen sizes before going live.

Billing & Plans

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Compare Wise offers a Free plan that includes basic comparison tables with up to 5 products per table. It's a great way to try the app before committing to a paid plan.

What do Pro and Enterprise plans include?

Pro and Enterprise plans unlock more products per table, custom columns, feature highlighting, scheduled comparisons, and access to analytics. Enterprise also includes priority support and custom integration options. See our pricing page for full details.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled through the Shopify App Store. Your subscription is billed monthly alongside your Shopify invoice. You can manage your plan and view billing history directly from the Compare Wise dashboard.

Can I change or cancel my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from the app's billing settings. Changes take effect immediately, and any prorated amount is handled through Shopify's billing system.

Technical

Does Compare Wise slow down my store?

No. Compare Wise's theme extension loads comparison tables asynchronously, so it does not impact your store's page load speed or Core Web Vitals.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow Shopify's security best practices and undergo regular security audits. See our privacy policy for full details.

What happens if I uninstall Compare Wise?

When you uninstall, the theme extension is automatically removed from your store and comparison tables stop displaying. Your table data is deleted from our servers within 30 days. You can export your configurations before uninstalling if needed.
