What is Banner Bird?

Banner Bird is a Shopify app that lets you create and manage promotional banners directly from your Shopify admin panel. You can create image, video, carousel, countdown timer, scheduled, and simple text banners — all without writing any code.

How do I install Banner Bird?

Visit the Banner Bird page on the Shopify App Store and click "Add app." The installation takes just a few clicks. Banner Bird installs as a theme extension, so your theme files are never modified.

Do I need coding knowledge to use Banner Bird?

No. Banner Bird is designed for merchants of all technical levels. The entire app runs through a visual dashboard — create banners, customize designs, and publish with point-and-click controls.

Will Banner Bird work with my current Shopify theme?

Yes. Banner Bird uses Shopify's theme extension system, which is compatible with all Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes. It also works with many older themes. If you encounter compatibility issues, our support team can help.

Banner Types

What types of banners can I create?

Banner Bird supports six banner types:

• Image banners — Static promotional images with overlay text and links
• Video banners — Auto-playing video backgrounds for immersive promotions
• Carousel banners — Rotating slideshows with multiple images or messages
• Countdown timer banners — Urgency-driven banners for sales and limited-time offers
• Scheduled banners — Banners that automatically appear and disappear on set dates
• Simple text banners — Clean, text-focused announcements and alerts

Can I show different banners to different audiences?

Yes. Scheduled banners let you set start and end dates so different promotions run at different times. You can also create multiple banners and toggle them on or off from the dashboard at any time.

How many banners can I have active at once?

This depends on your plan. Free plan users can have 1 active banner, Pro plan users can have up to 10, and Enterprise plan users have unlimited active banners.

Design & Customization

Can I customize the look of my banners?

Absolutely. Banner Bird includes pre-built design themes you can apply in one click, or you can customize every detail: colors, fonts, spacing, text positioning, button styles, and more. Every banner can match your brand identity.

Does Banner Bird support responsive design?

Yes. All banners created with Banner Bird are fully responsive and automatically adjust to look great on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Can I preview my banners before publishing?

Yes. Banner Bird provides a live preview feature that shows you exactly how your banner will appear on your storefront. You can preview on different screen sizes before going live.

Billing & Plans

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Banner Bird offers a Free plan that includes image and simple text banners with 1 active banner at a time. It's a great way to try the app before committing to a paid plan.

What do Pro and Enterprise plans include?

Pro and Enterprise plans unlock additional banner types (video, carousel, countdown, scheduled), more active banners, and access to analytics. Enterprise also includes priority support and custom integration options. See our pricing page for full details.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled through the Shopify App Store. Your subscription is billed monthly alongside your Shopify invoice. You can manage your plan and view billing history directly from the Banner Bird dashboard.

Can I change or cancel my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from the app's billing settings. Changes take effect immediately, and any prorated amount is handled through Shopify's billing system.

Technical

Does Banner Bird slow down my store?

No. Banner Bird's theme extension loads banners asynchronously, so it does not impact your store's page load speed or Core Web Vitals.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow Shopify's security best practices and undergo regular security audits. See our privacy policy for full details.

What happens if I uninstall Banner Bird?

When you uninstall, the theme extension is automatically removed from your store and banners stop displaying. Your banner data is deleted from our servers within 30 days. You can export your configurations before uninstalling if needed.
